Untitled

This is my newest baby blanket. I loved making it. I kind of thought it would be hard to knit it since it has 576 stitces in the last pattern, but no, it was fun, fun, fun. The color is not exactly right, but close. This is endless love. Beautiful.

Miss mouse is doing som yarn staching, and found this yarn in a drawer. She had seen this pattern on the net, and had this round pillow that needed to be fixed up. Perfect she thought and changed it a little.

Here she is with the finiced pillow. I personally think it needs a button in the middle and we will see if she agrees. Look how proud she is, almost finiced that stach of yarn.

Now she has found this stach that she is going to finice before the end of february. Hummm.... I wonder what she is going to come up with now.

This is my stach busting proget for february. Go have a look at what the other ladys are making.

Hey I am here

I am not a good blogger I know. But here is what I have been up to. I got a beautiful little prinsess on newyears eve. I got to bee there with the parents when she was born, and they even gave her my middle name, Soffia. She is such a darling little (big) girl, that was 11 pounds, 2 ounces and 23 inches long when she was born (5080gr and 58cm long). I love her so, that beautiful little girl.

The other day I was working at the yarn store and put together this pile of yarn that fits right for these hexagons, that by the way I saw at cocorose blog that I love, and this is her picture obove. I have not taken any pictures of my hexagons yet, but that will come later.

Another thing that I am going to try in february is not to buy any new yarn, so I am going to have to use what I have here at home. That is going to be very hard, but I know I can do it. ;-)

I signed up for a art class on line, and that is my fairy prinsess that I made for the class. Now this is my first thing that I make and the class is all year, so hopefully it gets better as the year goes by.

I will try to be better at blogging Judy, thank you for your kind words.

This and that

I have been making dichcloths latly. Exually all fall, one per week. This is a project that I had going for the ladies in my knitting group. The turtle dichcloth was a surprice pattern, I gave them five rows per week, and they did not know what the pattern was, but they knew it was a dichcloth.

The last one was kind of big so that is going to be a towel for the gest bathroom or something like that.

I am expecting a new grandbaby over christmas, so amma has been knitting a lot for her. This is one of three onesies that I have made. I was trying to get the right color on the picture, but I could not get that. The color is kind of green-blue, more green than blue but it comes out like it is mor blue. Beautiful and fun to knit.

This is my latest knitting. I made this yesterday, and could not stop until i was done. It is called "catching butterflies" and is from the very talanted desingner of Tiny owl knits. I just love her design and am planning a lot of things i will be doing from her disigns.

The hexypuffs that you can see on one of the picture is hers too, and i am starting a project made with them.

I am sad to say, that we had to get rid of our little darlings. My step-daugther is so alerted to a lot of things and one of it is cats.

My older one was almost twelve years old so we put her down, and buried her in the back yard. That was the hardest thing to do, we loved her so much. But a friend of my daugther took the little one and she is living a good live with her family and wee can always see her and cuddle her a little.

Winter is here

This is how it looked like when I woke up this morning. Snow all over. I kind of like it, even thow it is kind of early in the season.

I did say in my last post that I did a fall runner. Well, this is it. I am so happy with how it turned out. It has fall colors like I like it, light colors but kind of bright.

When I went to Langamyri ( the quilt retread) I made this table cloth for my mom. I have yet to sew down the binding and then moms Christmas present is ready. That feels good. She loves blue colors, and this sure is blue. ;-)

This is my latest thing. It is supost to be for Christmas. More about that later.

What have i been up to this summer

We have been to the states. We flew to NY and took a rental car there and drove to VA beach. The first night we went to a hotel in Allentown PA and the next day we went to see the aunties and dad there. That was fun, since I have not been there in so many years.

When we got to VA the first thing we bought for Helga were these cheers for the balcony, so mamma could sit there in the mornings when every body was still a sleep.

I bought this book that has some dishcloths patterns that I can use for the Tuesday night knitting group and some cotton yarn that I like so much.

We also went traveling here in Iceland with our camper. We went up to the north vest of Iceland and Gunnar did a lot of walking (up mountains) so I did a lot of knitting and crochet wile I was waiting for him. My hand was not good but I can not just sit there doing nothing. I did finish my fun and beautiful blanket that was supost to be just for traweling but I like it so much that I do have it in my living room.

This was a house that nobody lives in up on the vest part of the island and Gunnar likes to look inside these houses.

I did do som sewing this summer. A thing to put pencils in for the kids, marked with they're names so they don't lose it.

And a table runner for the fall. I did finish it but I did not have a picture of it after I finished. That has to come in the next post.

Last weekend I went on a quilt retreed from Thursday till Sunday. It was so much fun and this is what we did before we went there. Me and my two friends always go together and we always make something before we go that is outrageous and fun.

My youngest on tured seventeen in September, and her friend brought her this fun cake that she had made all by herself. That was so sweet. Anyway since Karlotta turned seventeen she got her drivers license and is now driving all over the place. Fun for her.

Last night we had the knitting group get together, and to our suprice, our friends from Reykjanesbær came to visit us. We always have so much fun and specially when we get surprise visitors.

Anyway now I think I am cut op since I did not right anything all summer. My hand was hurting so bad all summer but now in September I got it operated on, and now it is all getting better.
